When Janelle asked me to do her family photo session on their recent visit to the Kitsap peninsula, I was so very honored. I was fortunate enough to do branding images for her before for her amazing business The Chosen Nest; being able to connect again, only this time with her family was a special privilege, to say the very least. This family wanted to honor the wonderful ways they have grown and changed, while preparing for significant changes to come. This is what I love about portrait photography. It can honor so much about what matters most to us: our relationships and our love. It can serve as a beacon and a space to return to when challenges arise. We can return to those warm, loving moments we shared that day, and remember what makes our lives so rich.
